Ha! Did you see what I did there? Aloe there? Anyone? *sigh* I think I'm getting a little loopy around here with all the chaos fumes...
Anyhoooo...
Brady and I have been experimenting with a variety of fresh fruit smoothies lately. Since the stove has yet to have a fresh supply of gas, all our foods have been cold and fresh products. We stocked up on organic goodies from the DeKalb County Farmer's Market during a quick day trip and then began juicing like crazy!
We've even experimented with fresh aloe leaves. Yum, yum, yum!
Here's our latest recipe:
- fillet a small section of aloe approximately 1x2 inches (go here to see how to fillet aloe)
- juice from 1 lemon
- juice from 4 oranges
- 4 strawberries
- 1/4 of cantaloupe
- small handful of blueberries
- 1/2 banana
This makes enough for 1-2 people...around a quart or so.
I serve mine in a mason jar so I can pop the lid on it and put it back in the fridge and drink on it all day!
So tasty!
Enjoy!
