An outfit post! What, what? Well, a skirt and Mama Kitty and earring post (ha!) really. So, here it goes.
I really, really, really like this skirt. It makes me want to twirl a bit. Weird. I usually don't wear polyester blends, drop waist skirts or pleats....and here I am wearing all three in one item! Weird, again. All items were thrifted except for the acorn earrings. I bought them last year before the honeymoon from here.
There's a lot of light filtering on these photos due to a few reasons. 1) It is very dark outside today due to continued/impending rain and I don't have a proper photography situation set up in my house...but that is slowly changing as the budget allows...and if anyone has any cheap/free suggestion about lighting techniques and the such, then I'd be glad to hear them. 2) I'm obsessed with Photoshop and PicMonkey and filters and fooling with software. This will calm down shortly...or get worse. 3) Photographing myself is like visiting another country. It makes me feel a bit awkward (duh...as if you couldn't tell) but I wanted to challenge myself to do something different. I thought about having Brady photograph me but that made me feel even more awkward! Maybe it'll be better after I find a groove with poses and lighting and backdrops. Mama Kitty feels the same way. So bare with us. Maybe one day I'll be as good as Rebecca over at Manzanita!
Now that I've gathered up the courage to post this, I'm off to try a new Pilates video and then explore some of my new iPhone photo applications. I'll try to curb my filter use. No promises though...
Today I am thankful for fruit smoothies. They keep my head on straight.
