Well, hi. Hello. Helllllooooo!
Has anyone else thought 'hey, this past month was the weirdest month in the history of months?' Because I sure has hell did and still do even into the beginnings of this December. Not just regarding that doozy of an election although that was a huge part of it. I mean, I lost about a dozen followers (which means there are probably about 10 of you out there still reading this on-off-on-off-off-off-on blog) and received exactly 3 nasty emails questioning my mental capacities but you know what? I'm fine with that business for the most part with the exception of calling me nasty names. I did my own share of unfollowing and deleting although I stopped my indignation train at the station when it got as far as sending someone a scathing letter berating their intellect. Eh, I put things out there so I shouldn't be surprised when people respond the way they do in this current political climate.
Back on track. WEIRD MONTH = NOVEMBER. There was travel, intrigue, drama, more drama, someone *cough*Brady*cough* had to shave his head after a terrible haircut incident, movie dates, new jobs that didn't work out *cough*me*cough* and more. But let's take a look at some pictures that have nothing to do with any of those things except travel. Ha!
top to bottom / left to right
// I went to my first holiday parade in over 5 years and my first one ever here in Athens. Two of my good friends and the cutest baby in the world went with me...and we ooooohed and ahhhhhed over all the different floats, marching bands and the like. I think the giant mobile praying mantis from the UGA Entomology Club was my favorite. Before we went we had some hot chai apple cider and nommed pumpkin muffins. Even though we had to leave early because it got cold and baby got grumpy, we had a blast.
// Here's a blurry picture of our most beautiful Tullah Belle with her little blind eye. We're having a portrait of her commissioned by friend and artist Ruth Allen and I can't wait to share the finished work!
// I'm a very, very, very lightweight drinker so when I went down to Valdosta and had some booze I started doing things like taking selfies with my sunglasses on in a bar all while holding an air plant on my face. My mother thought the greenery was weed so that sparked a fun conversation. That'll learn me to take pictures of myself!
// Clawdia has her winter coat and looks just like a kitty Toothless. Fun fact: I absolutely cannot watch How To Train Your Dragon II anymore because it makes me cry every time.
// There are still some leaves on the tree but not as many as there were on the tree in this picture. The contrast of red, yellow and orange against a blue sky is one of my favorite images. I'll miss it.
// Mr. Booker Man has become such a snuggle bug and is constantly curling up on the bed making mewls and looking adorable. He's also decided that whatever Brady and I are eating and/or drinking actually belongs to him. He's prone to grabbing your hand with his paw or stinking such said paw in your drink. It's both endearing and super annoying but we're working on getting him to stop it. Fingers crossed. Fun fact: I cannot keep the kitties off my floral comforter and I haven't been able to use it for myself all fall. Our critters are disgustingly spoiled aren't they?
// New glasses. New hairstyle. Same old habit of making a silly faces. Oh, and I didn't learn that lesson about taking selfies but this time I didn't have anything weird in there with me that my Mom may question.
// Our wedding venue that burned down and was rebuilt is still sitting empty in our old neighborhood. I took a roam around and there are some beautiful heirloom plants still growing on the property though. And look at that moss. Gah, I miss Spanish Moss.
Well, that's all I've got for now other than to say WHO ELSE IS WATCHING WESTWORLD? No spoilers. I'm watching the final episode tonight! Wheeee!

It has been a topsy-turvy past month (or so). I like the glasses and YES. Let's talk Westworld sometime! My husband is obnoxiously good at predicting twists so he kinda nailed the finale while it was happening but I was still blown away.
ReplyDeleteI stilllll haven't watched the last episode because something came up and I had to babysit. No complaints because I love that little dude but I'm having to avoid a lot of sites so I don't get hit by the finale spoilers and woooboy is that difficult!
DeleteRook & Pawn night soon, eh? :)
I'm still here and not just because I am part of the same choir. How strange to drop someone or, worse yet, send an email like you described just because your viewpoint differs from someone else's. To me, we are living in strange times no matter the month!
ReplyDeleteAnd they are only getting stranger! :(
DeleteThanks for sticking around. It means the world! :)
