Vinyl Fever...

I'm trying to take Mondays off to do a number of things that I'm just too tired to do during the rest of the week - specifically, put on a record and bake something something special just for the house.  This week it's Harry Belafonte's first Carnegie Hall album and fresh strawberry cake with whipped cream.

Another good thing about having a day off?  I get to wear shoes that I can't/won't wear to work for fear of messing up.  Greasy tofu hitting your shoes = you better be able to clean that off with ease.  These green booties are perfect for dancing (badly) around the kitchen in...and maybe skipping off to the botanical gardens to see the wildflowers in bloom.  The latter can happen after I eat some more cake!
