top to bottom // left to right:
/ This cat is such a freakin' hoot...and a cute snuggler to boot.
/ It's probably hard to tell what all these black blobs are but I'll give you a hint. Ribbit. Ribbit. Eh? Eh? They're tadpoles! Thousands and thousands of tadpoles wiggling around in the warm water pools near the river. I can't wait til they get their weird little legs...
/ Rescued a teeny tiny butterfly from our screened front porch. I promise I didn't squish it!
/ Leroy loves playing in the rain...and then comes into the house to sleep on my side of the bed to get dry. *sigh* We now have to keep the door shut to the bedroom so he won't muck up everything in the room...
/ I've spent a lot of time walking in the past few weeks. It's helped relieve stress (I got a mammogram for the first time and spent 5 days petrified about results but all is well) although it hasn't done much for my shoulder issues. I'm still tied up in knots daily...
/ It's been cooler some days so while I started the day bare-legged I ended up in leggings while out hiking in north Georgia. Also, our household has a serious plaid button-down shirt problem.
/ My backyard has the best views of blue skies.
/ A new Uruguayan restaurant opened in town and we went to try it out. The food was excellent and had lots of vegetarian options but the desserts were 'ughie'.
/ A wall of Wysteria on my daily walk. I swear that it is everywhere this year and it's so beautiful (and invasive) and smells so damn good!
/ What a view of a new trail I found at the botanical gardens, eh?
/ Flowers in the backyard are oh-so-colorful...
The only problem with these sets is that you are always just a bit behind from what's happening in real life Athens/home/work/flowers/tadpoles. So much is going on right now but I'll try to get to that at some point. Here's hoping that today is a good start to what will be a great week!
Today, I'm thankful for my dogs. Tullah Belle isn't feeling tops right now so I'm giving her lots of love and reassurance.

Your cat is awesome!
ReplyDeleteI remember tadpoles from when I was a kid! I miss the country.
Re: your mammogram - I've had to get those from my 20s (family history) and every single time I stress out for 2 months beforehand. I hear you big time on this one.
Get physio for your shoulder! You don't want to muck around with shoulder injuries.
Re: plaid shirt, we call them flannies here (flannelette shirts) and they always remind me of the 90s/uni
Uruguayan food sounds wonderful although I'm surprised about the desserts, did you get to have churros? I love those.
The third pic down on the far right - where is that? It looks magical!
And I hope your doggie gets better!
Take care chick :)
Tullah is sitting next to me right now, snoring and feeling much better. They adjusted medication and gave her a new prescription. Yay!
DeleteI just returned from my first physical therapy appointment and I got twisted, poked and prodded. My posture has been so poor that my ribs are very tight and it's messing around with a lot things in my back/shoulders. I'm going to get massage, chiropractic work, continue yoga and keep on keeping on. :)
Grunge was my heyday. My love for flannel (flannies) will never, ever die. I still have one of mine from late high school (92ish)!
Churros 4evah!
Hope you're having a great week!
