I've been hounding Brady to take a day trip up to good ol' Asheville but work and band practice keeps getting in the way! Dagnabit. The thought of some fresh hot tea from Dobra (for me), cold brews (for Brady), dinner at Curate (almendras fritas get in my belllly!) and the house I visited being in full bloom for spring is beyond appealing. Me want to go now. Now now. Now.
Alas, with the Slingshot festival this weekend and Brady's tour next month it looks like it might not happen since we are the busiest of busy bees. But I can picture everything in my mind and that helps the sting. It's fun to imagine that all the browns, beiges and muted greens are now replaced with bright seasonal color - reds, purples, yellows, the whooooole rainbow...and all those little buds on the trees are now full-on flowers!
