Project 365 // January ??? - February ???...Or, Who Knows...

03 March 2016

With all the chaos of the last several weeks PLUS an accidental full deleting of photos, I find that I'm woefully behind on my Project 365.  I'm back on track now but I'm slapping these pics up and calling it a wash for a good chunk of time!

Enjoy!

Top to bottom / left to right:

// Vernon Thornsberry, one of the many resident artists I have the pleasure of working with, had a super cool showing of his paintings and even made the cover of the local mag.  I mean, it was a beyond packed venue filled with a ton of our regular customers, townies, arties, you name it!  We bought a print of The Grit and are waiting (impatiently) for it to return from the framers.  Visit his website to see his paintings and be prepared to be blown away.  He's a modern master, that guy.  That dark pinkish red color that seems to be in a lot of his works is my new favorite color now.  I kind of want to dye my hair that hue...but I won't.
// Visiting the Botanical Gardens finds Brady decked out in a plaid shirt and a bucket hat.  It's his new thing.
// Winter blooms are everywhere right now!  EVERYWHERE.
// Got a new juicer and for 2 weeks straight I've drank (drunk?  I like drank.  Always, drank.) what looks like blood but is really beet veggie fruit tumeric juice.  If you follow my Pinterest I'd like to apologize for the glut of 'juice life' pins.  I'm obsessed.
// Our bangin' Indian Feast served with flair by two of my favorite people.  Just FYI, 4 of the pictures in this set are from work.  I spend a lot of time there, ya know?
// Brady's obsession for Thai food knows no bounds so he's constantly on the lookout for new place.  We tried a spot downtown for the first time a while back on a rainy day.  Looked up from my coconut lime soup and found this cute ceiling decoration.  New favorite place for basil fried rice too.  *drool*  And the location is so cheery...even on a gloomy day.
// In contrast to those winter blooms you'll find that everything is really drab right now and as bare as I've ever seen.  When we were driving back from SSI last week I found that I could see all these crazy old abandoned homes off in the woods because there is *no* foliage right now.  Come spring they'll be hidden with a ton of kudzu, a splash of ivy and a ton of weeds.
// Trying to find good things wherever I look.  How about some townie turquoise and hearts in metal to cheer one up?
// Mama Kitty.  Floral print.  Dirty paws.  Love.
// Critter prints from down by the river.  Why do I *always* say 'down by the river' like Chris Farley?  Even when I read it I do it in his voice!  Weeeeiiiiird.
// Ron Swanson says 'only take one straw'.  Actually, he'd be pissed he was at a vegetarian restaurant and would probably have a lot more to say than that!

Don't forget to share a link with your own Project 365 if you'd like!

  1. I love my juicer in winter! I drink a lot of beetroot carrot ginger juice in cold weather :D Vernon's paintings are also very beautiful and Thai food is always on the menu here but we have an old faithful restaurant we use.

Hope your weekend's going well chick :)

    1. Brady's sick with a cold right now so I'm doing 4 different kale, culantro, cilantro, beets, carrots, apples, spinach, ginger, tumeric, celery, basil and fennel to try to ward off any illness coming my way. And help alleviate his symptoms, of course! :) My fridge has never been so full of leafy green in ever, ever, ever.
