Portland Is My Cleveland - Lost Snapshots From Maine...
04 November 2015
On our trip to Canada and the northeast US I started watching 30 Rock for the very first time. I mean, what else do you do when you're stuck in the tent while 50mph winds and rain rock your world on the Nova Scotia coastline? I'm now on season 6 and rationing out the remaining episodes to special nights of the week. I so don't want it to end for me!
I know y'all are probably ready for my mentions of my adventures to end. I *promise* this will be the last post about that trip. It was just such a fun time. And I think I've mentioned that I got to see Stephen King's house! Gah!
So, here are a few, and final, shots from Portland, Maine and the surrounding area...
We loved the museum and outdoor art. And really, really love miniature golf. We must've played about 8 different courses. Score!

I was SO sad when I ran out of 30 rock episodes!! These photos are great. I had to do a double take at the Wolves on The Dock!!
ReplyDeleteI did a double take as well when we were walking by them downtown. After seeing coyotes in Cape Breton just days earlier, I was kind of jumpy and thought they were very real at first!
DeleteI still have a season or so of 30 Rock left. I watched 2 episodes last night and laughed til my sides hurt!
I loved 30 Rock. And that part of the US is awesome to me as I grew up reading Stephen King novels, I can't believe you got to see his home :D Great photos! I've really enjoyed reading about your adventures.
ReplyDeleteWe accidentally pulled up to the house via the driveway at first because I thought they gave tours of the place since he's rarely there anymore. BUT he was home and we were in his yard and I was all 'oh my gosh! Stephen King is going to yell at us to get off his lawn!' Luckily no one shouted at us but we didn't get to see him in person which is ok since I didn't want to disturb his stay. I was just happy to be there! And that whole street is so beautiful with ornate homes and quirky cars. :D
DeleteLooks a nice place to visit
ReplyDeleteI'd move there in a heartbeat! One of the few places I'd consider leaving Athens for... :)
