My Life In Pictures...

30 June 2014

There are 2 things that I've noticed about these pictures.  First, my life seems to have this yellowish tint like the light before a thunderstorm.  Since I love that kind of stuff, I'm happy with that.  Ok, I do use the earlybird filter sometimes but sometimes it's definitely situational.  Secondly, I have not one, not two but three pictures of myself in this set.  Holy shit!  And I look like a dufus in everyone of them but the weird sunburn bathing suit picture takes the cake.  Weeks later I now have a tan with the same lines.  Yay for New Orleans memories!

Today we're hoping to finalize some plans for the 4th.  I usually fall all over myself to make lists but that little summer cold kind of wore me out and I'm not really into scheduling everything.  It'll all come out in the wash but I'm hoping that we find a place that is just what we want.  Destination?  Asheville.  The Pisgah Brewery has one of my favorite beers ever in the world...the Greybeard IPA.  It's got pine?  Sold.  Let's not forget about Early Girl Eatery, Plant, waterfalls, rock slides, hiking, and the like, shall we?

I'm still working on those books from the weekend (I went to see a stupid summer *explosions*robots* movie yesterday instead of reading but I have no regrets as I tend to indulge that part of me that never grew up) but I'll bring the last few with me to finish on the trip up.  Two were quick reads but the rest are something to chew on mentally.  I'll get some of the brain cells back I lost from that movie, eh?

Have a lovely Monday!

PS You can request to follow me on Instagram @grits_and_moxie but just know that I sometimes take a lot of pictures, although sometimes I'll go days/weeks without nary a one, and they are often silly...

  1. I love the hazy quality of your photos... makes me feel like I'm looking at someone's old family photo album

  2. The tint on your photos is lovely. I too like a golden glow on Instagram too. Big, dumb action movies are one of summer's greatest indulgences! We just saw Snowpiercer (not dumb, actually) which I'm recommending to everyone. Hope you had fun in Asheville for the 4th!
