Hi Sue! I love your About Me section...especially this: "My goal for th[e] blog is to inspire. My story began with a sewing machine and some imagination. Yours may begin with an owl purse you saw at the store, a hair style someone was sporting, or homemade Oatmeal Cream Pies on pinterest. Whatever your beginning, I hope you will find your creativity blossoming here from my gift to you." Lovely...just lovely.
Could you tell us a bit more about your blog Chevron & Lace? Chevron & Lace is a documentation of my
top interests. On my blog you will find DIY tutorials for home
decor, useful items that you can sew, delicious recipes, and even a little Dr. Seuss(ish) poetry. Mostly my blog is about my family and how we live our lives making each day better than the one before.
Your crafty/cooking skills are pretty darn amazing! Could you tell us a bit more about your creative process? I started getting into sewing after I graduated from college in Elementary Education and was pregnant with my daughter. From there, I dabbled in new recipes, poetry, some beauty, and, more recently, knitting. I can read patterns, but I prefer designing my own products, particularly the vintage clothing!

Ok, this is kinda the 'spill the beans' time of the segment. Would you tell us 4 things about yourself that no one would know/guess?
1. I'm the last of 12 children in my family.
2. I can point my pinky toe.
3. I can quote movies like it's my job.
4. My dad always reminds me of Cary Grant (a resemblance that he's rather proud of).
I'm an avid reader and I always have to ask the simply difficult question about choices for top 3 books of all time?
Of course there are the classics, but here are some you might not know about that are really inspiring:
1. Magnificent Obsession
2. Keeper of the Bees
I see lots of snow on the ground in some of your more recent photo shoots. What are 2 things that you love to do during the winter season?
1. Ski
2. Make snowmen with family (the bigger, the better!)
Can you name 1 thing you can't/couldn't live without?
Projects. I hate being bored.
I love meeting new folks and finding new blogs. Would you like to share a few blog reads that you think we might all like?
1. Anything from Love the Skinnys by
Deidre is entertaining. She recently did a few posts about her pageant
years that gave me a new perspective on the entire thing.
2. Freckled
Fox is doing a Sweetheart hair week (vintage hairstyles) that I think EVERYONE should look up. Emily Meyers is AMAZING.
3. Brani from That's Just
Lovely is just about the sweetest girl you could meet and is full of useful beauty tips. Check her out!
