Athens Life - Jittery Joe's Roasting House...

I really hope that you all are enjoying all the great guest bloggers that have been kind enough to stop by and visit.  How much fun have their posts been, eh?

Well, today is Thursday and for a while there I was posting something about my new town adventures on this day of the week.  Update:  I'm an idiot because I used to do this segment on Wednesdays.  Oh well...  Now I'm back to hopefully keep the trend going!  I mean, I still haven't introduced you to the local bookshops, the co-op, a new hiking trail I heard about, a local winery and oh-so-much-more!  But those are for another post...

Today I'm here to share a bit about the Jittery Joe's roasting house in Downtown Athens...

The Jittery Joe's roasting house is a special place for us because a) it's very close to our home b) one of the first places we went after we moved to Athens and c) it will probably disappear due to this building project.  So, our goal is to try to buy from them a bit more and take as many pictures of this area as possible...and we started the other day when we took a quick walk up the hill for Brady's java fix.

There were quite a few people milling around the shop and, to be honest, I got a bit camera shy.  I don't know why but I did...silly me!  I took a few quick photos inside and then took off.  Next time I'll try to get inside the roasting room and I'll take more wide shots so you can envision where JJ's is in comparison to the upcoming building project.  There's also some graffiti around the area that I'm planning to snap some shots of since some of it is quite creative and it will also disappear if the construction plans continue...

Want to see more of Athens, GA via my lens?  Go here!  And feel free to offer suggestions of places you've been in the area or places you'd like to see more of on the blog...
