No Bones About It, These Are Some Of My Favorite Halloween Songs...

via

Well, it looks like I'm missing the Wild Rumpus this year *sad face* but I do have Halloween night off!  Yay!  So, I'm getting ready for it by buying candy (which won't happen til Wednesday morning because I'll eat all of it in a day if it's around...really, my self-control is nil), making some fun decor stuff (thanks in part to all those crafty guest bloggers last week) and creating a playlist of what I consider to be the-must-have-spooky-campy-fun-weird songs for the holiday.  Want to see some of my top picks?

Bad Moon Rising / Creedence Clearwater Revival  {How short are their guitar chords in this video?}

Nightmare On My Street / Will Smith & DJ Jazzy Jeff  {Classic 90's cheese-tastic stuff.}

Bad As Me / Tom Waits  {*swoon*}

via

Ghost Of Stephen Foster / Squirrel Nut Zippers  {and Hell is good too.}

Zombie / The Cranberries  {This song was a catalyst for the beginnings of my anti-war activism.}

I Put A Spell On You / Screamin' Jay Hawkins

via

TV Set / The Cramps

Psycho Killer / Talking Heads

Ghostbusters / Ray Parker Jr  {The scariest thing about this video is all the neon lighting.}

It's The End Of The World As We Know It / R.E.M.  {Maybe better suited for 12/21?  Nah.}

via

Red Right Hand / Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds  {I'm a huge fan of Hellboy too...so this is a win-win!}

Superstition
/ Stevie Wonder

Lost Boys Soundtrack (but this one especially) / Various Artists  {Sutherland was beyond hot in this movie.  My first bad boy crush.  And it has Dianne Wiest and I love her.}

The Devil Went Down To GA / Covered by Primus  {Claymation + dancing chickens = love.}

Lime In The Coconut / Harry Nilsson  {Does anybody else love Practical Magic?  Hey, Dianne Wiest was in that too!  Yay!}

My playlist is at about 70 songs right now and still growing.  So maybe I'll finish listening to all the songs by Thanksgiving?  Heh, that's ok.  I'm not ready for October to be over so maybe I'll keep it alive even after it's gone.

How about you?  Favorite Halloween song?  Share!
