On a whim earlier last week I grabbed a paint brush and some old oil paints, and I tried to pretty up the one wall in the house that the landlord left looking less-than-appealing-and-kind-of-ganky-gross. I'm not sure if I made it better or worse (I like it myself but the landlord may disagree) but I do have to say that it looks a lot different in there! Brady said he loved it. Aw, that man...
I can't wait to try my hand at painting a self-portrait. Now that should be interesting...
How about you? Done anything on a whim lately?

Hi :)
ReplyDeleteI think the desing gives the wall detail in a good way.
I also love the red counter tops.
Happy Tuesday fellow bloggie!
oooh I love the counter top and bottom cabinet!
ReplyDeleteI like it!!
ReplyDeleteIt's totally great! Especially the pink part by the counter. Super great!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I went to a concert this weekend to a band I hadn't heard of before just because it wasn't sold out. It was neat! :D

I've been playing a bit with paint lately and realized that man... painting is a lot harder than I thought it was.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you all like it! This project took me a bit longer than I expected but I really enjoyed blasting music and getting all covered in paint. Never fails that I end up with some on my neck for some reason...?
ReplyDeleteI may have mentioned this before but this bathroom was actually the KITCHEN during the mid-50's. Wowzer! It's not small for a bathroom but it's a 1/3 of the size of the current kitchen...which feels very close for more than 1 person. I don't know how they cooked in there!
And since this was a whim, I'm totally enthralled by what you all did for something different. Thanks for sharing!
Hey Jennifer! Grits and Moxie is one of my favorite blogs up, so I nominated you for The Leibster Award since you deserve about a million members. Anyway, check out your nom here: http://postpositions.blogspot.com/2012/08/nominated-for-leibster-award-awwyeah.html
ReplyDeleteTake care! And I LOVE your style. Love.
Thank you Brighid! I'm honored for the nomination and so very happy that you like the blog. :) And, me? Stylish? Booya!
DeleteIt certainly gives the wall some texture, which I think is far better than plain and gross.
ReplyDeleteMy latest whim was buying some earrings, scarves, and a new purse from an estate sale. I couldn't resist. (They'll be up on my blog next week. :))
